There was a prison inside of her that she didn’t let anyone into. It held dark secrets that would curl their toes and hair. Or at least that is what she thought.
Even heat did not reach there.
She lay on the sand, with water touching her feet as the sun penetrated her soul. It refused to break the cold walls of the cell, though. It refused to melt her into submission.
Even the sun, with its superior, unnatural powers, couldn’t make it in there.
She had locked the doors and thrown the keys away. Could she make it inside?
