Tiny speck
in this large universe,
Are there others like us?
Are others asking the same?

Gathering trees, cars and passers-by,
the waves grew, larger and taller,
till they took me away, too.

Raised a knife,
inhaled his cigarette,
stabbed himself,
blood and smoke emanated from him.

She ran away today,
ran towards freedom.
He ran away yesterday,
ran from captivity.
They ran away separately,
from fear of incessant coercion.

A pixie zapped in,
and saved me from drowning.
She flickered and lingered,
till consciousness returned.

Stories made him dream,
they filled him with life.
Stories were all he wanted,
all the time.
